Hourly Positions

FIRST LINE SUPERVISOR (FLS)                       

Department:     Production                       FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt--eligible for overtime pay

Reports To:     Department Supervisor      Wage Grade:   Salaried

Work Schedule:  2nd shift, 3rd shift, 12-hour night shift

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans and delegates production assignments under the direction of the Department Supervisor.
  • Orients and trains associate to perform tasks in compliance with safety/environmental, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and general policies
  • Communicates with other departments and shifts in order to maintain proper coordination of production and maintenance tasks.
  • Reviews and analyzes production processes and results and implements corrective action, where necessary.
  • Compiles information for periodic reports with respect to various topics including quality, safety, environment, attendance, productivity and scrap.
  • Reviews associate performance and provides appropriate feedback and counseling under the direction of the Department Supervisor.
  • Provides open, two-way communications with associates through daily contact, and shift start and monthly meetings.
  • Occasionally assists with hands-on production tasks.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one year of supervisory/leadership experience (preferably in a high-volume manufacturing setting) is required
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required; Related Associate degree, or equivalent, is preferred
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCAR), 5-Why’s, P-D-C-A, etc. is required
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 systems and standards is required
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel is required and MS PowerPoint is strongly preferred
 
Hourly Positions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, cooling towers and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and systems.
  • Performs regular cleaning, servicing, testing, and preventative maintenance tasks to help ensure that all HVAC equipment and systems function effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations governing environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal and the use of chemical substances and materials.  Utilizes specialized equipment in the recovery and recycling of regulated refrigerants.
  • Provides advice and recommendations regarding equipment specifications, capabilities, and costs for decisions related to maintenance, repair, or new purchases.
  • Maintains logs and documentation and compiles reports related to maintenance and repair of equipment and systems.  
  • Audits work performed by outside HVAC services to ensure that specified results are achieved and contract terms are fulfilled.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.  Related vocational training and HVAC license and/or certification are also required.
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments, gauges, test equipment, and reading of blueprints and schematics is required.
  • Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, plumbing, carpentry, and personal computer operation is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 440 or 480 three-phase electrical systems, electronics, programmable logic controllers, robotics, hydraulic/pneumatic equipment and systems, and welding is preferred.

NEW HIGHER WAGE RATES:

  • Starting wage rate (varies by experience/skill)--$26.00/hr to $34.00/hr --includes $1.00/hr attendance bonus if attendance is "perfect" for one (1) pay period (two weeks)
  • Top wage rate --$34.00/hr --includes $1.00/hr attendance bonus
  • Extra $2.00/hr weekend bonus for Sat./Sun. hours worked--IF attendance bonus is earned for same pay period
Hourly Positions

Duties:

  • ​​Sets up lathes, machining centers, and robots.  Enters and edits machine programs, and sets up parameters.
  • Performs tool changes as required and verifies all dimensions using appropriate measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Performs regular quality checks, adjustments, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Maintains related documentation and completes S.P.C. charts and check sheets.
  • Operates and maintains coolant and filter systems.

Qualifications:

  • At least six (6) months of related CNC machining experience and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control is required.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.

  • Starting wage rates--$21.65/hr --includes $1.00/hr attendance bonus if attendance is "perfect" for one (1) pay period (two weeks)
  • Top wage rates--$25.65/hr --includes $1.00/hr attendance bonus

Set-up and operate a variety of machines and/or monitor processes related to the manufacture of high quality cast aluminum wheels.

Salary Positions

POSITION SUMMARY:  Coordinates internal and external recruiting activities and orientation and training of new associates.  Administers performance evaluation, compensation, fringe benefits, and associate involvement/recognition programs.  Administers Workers Compensation program.  Communicates regularly with associates from all levels of the organization and supports effective community relations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates internal and external recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection of qualified candidates. 
  • Conducts Company presentations, plant tours, interviews, background checks, and drug screens.  Coordinates with temporary agencies
  • Assists in onboarding, orientation, and training of new full-time and temporary associates.
  • Administers workers compensation program--including support of incident investigation and recordkeeping, preventative and corrective actions for safety improvement, claims management, hearing attendance, etc.
  • Administers performance evaluations, compensation, fringe benefits, and supports associate involvement/recognition programs
  • Communicates regularly with associates from all levels regarding Company policies, procedures, programs, and general associate relations concerns
  • Utilizes HRIS system and other software to monitor human resource metrics and compile various reports
  • Participates in activities and programs that support good public relations and effective working relationships with community organization

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five or more years of human resource generalist experience is required--preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Related Bachelor degree, or equivalent, is strongly preferred
  • Prior computer experience, including HRIS systems is required
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are also required
